  • Clinic Assistant
       Carmeline Jones

A great love for animals brought Carmeline to the clinic in the fall of 2008. As Clinic Assistant she preps patients for surgeries and makes sure all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for the day. Carmeline shows compassion to all of our visitors as she cares for them in post-op recovery in our kennel room.

Lending a hand in every capacity Carmeline not only assists the doctors but also keeps the back treatment room clean and running smoothly.

Outside the clinic Carmeline and her husband Jerry enjoy walking their dog Floyd on the beach in Mabou. Jerry and Carmeline also share their home with 2 beautiful cats Morris and Shiloh.

Carmeline likes to hike, visit grandchildren, go camping and enjoys a nice dinner out.

  • Clinic Pet
       Luna

Became a member of our team in early 2016 after being brought in by a kind samaritan who thought she had been injured. During her exam, our doctor discovered that Luna has hind end ataxia but she doesn’t let that slow her down! She can often be found greeting dogs, cats & kids alike in our waiting room, supervising patient care in the treatment area or zooming around after her little ‘sister’ Lucy. Although she loves to eat, her favourite pastime is getting brushed by the staff whenever they get a chance. Luna also volunteers once a year at a local kindergarden, where she & her handler, CJ, discuss pet health, the importance of regular vet checks & bite prevention with the children. Be sure to stop in & say hello if you are in the area, Luna & her friends love having visitors!

  • Clinic Pet
       Monkey

Monkey is a recent addition to the Baddeck Veterinary Clinic. He was found by the side of the road in Iron Mines and brought to the clinic by our Clinic Assistant Carmeline. He loves to play and is extremely affectionate.

  • Clinic Pet
       Lucy - the trainee

Lucy is our latest addition, she came to us as a stray in October 2017. Her duties include lap warming, parking lot monitoring, and supervising the chores (especially the mopping!). Although she is shy she is often found helping at the front desk.
